The governor of the Russian Rostov region, Vasily Golubev, announced Monday the destruction of four Ukrainian drones over Rostov, while the Russian Defense Ministry reported the destruction of 18 drones in four other regions. Air defense forces were able to destroy four drones in the southwest of Rostov, without causing any casualties, Golubev said via Telegram. For its part, the Russian Defense Ministry said in a statement that its air defenses destroyed 18 Ukrainian drones, including 11 drones over Kursk, 5 over Belgorod, and two over Voronezh. According to the Ministry, 35 drones and four Ukrainian tactical missiles were shot down over Kursk, Voronezh, Belgorod, Bryansk and Oryol last night. Since Feb. 24, 2022, Russia has launched a military operation in Ukraine, and its end is conditional on Kyiv abandoning its membership in Western military entities that it says threaten its national security.
