Doha: The Russian Ministry of Defense announced today that its air defense systems shot down 77 Ukrainian drones overnight over various parts of its territory.
According to Qatar News Agency, the Ministry of Defense stated that 30 drones were shot down and destroyed over the Bryansk region on the border with Ukraine, and 25 drones over Kaluga. Additional drones were intercepted over the Kursk, Voronezh, Rostov, and Belgorod regions.
This drone attack came two days after Russia intercepted 337 drones, including more than 90 over the Moscow region, in the largest hostile drone attack on the capital.
Russia and Ukraine exchange daily announcements of downing drones targeting each other's territories as part of the ongoing conflict that began in February 2022.
