Russia Ministry of Defense Says it Eliminated 8825 Ukrainian Soldiers Last Week

Moscow: The Russian Ministry of Defense announced today that its forces eliminated 8,825 Ukrainian soldiers over the past week across various fronts.

According to Qatar News Agency, in its weekly report on the course of military operations in Ukraine, the ministry stated that its forces carried out five intensive strikes targeting Ukrainian military-industrial facilities, sites used to store attack drones, as well as temporary deployment points for Ukrainian army units.

It added that Russian air defenses succeeded in downing nine guided aerial bombs, 17 rockets fired from HIMARS launchers, two long-range Neptune guided missiles, in addition to 1,173 Ukrainian drones.

It is worth noting that since the start of the war between Russia and Ukraine on Feb. 24, 2022, both sides have exchanged near-daily reports claiming advances or repelling attacks by the other side, without independent verification of these statements due to the circumstances of the war and ongoing fighting.
