Kyiv: Ukraine and Russia have both announced casualties resulting from their exchange of attacks. The governor of Zaporizhzhia, a city in southeastern Ukraine, said that three people were killed in a Russian strike targeting the city, with additional fatalities reported in other areas. The governor added that the attack also caused a power outage affecting approximately 1,500 subscribers, as Russian forces continue to intensify their strikes on Ukraine's power grid.
According to Qatar News Agency, Russian authorities reported that Ukrainian drones targeted towns in southern Russia, injuring eight people, including a child. Reports from Ukraine and Russia regarding the situation on the ground are conflicting and cannot be independently verified due to the ongoing war since Feb. 2022.
