Russian forces launched on Saturday an intense attack using missiles and drones, resulting in the destruction of energy facilities across various regions of Ukraine. The Ukrainian electricity network operator, Ukrenergo, reported significant damage to energy installations in five regions due to the Russian attack. Meanwhile, the Ukrainian Air Force announced that it had shot down 35 out of 53 missiles and 46 out of 47 Russian drones. These developments follow the Russian military's claim of having seized 880 square kilometers of Ukrainian territory since the beginning of 2024. Russia launched a military operation described as "special" in February 2022, which Ukraine refers to as a wide-scale war against it. International efforts have so far failed to put an end to this conflict. Source: Qatar News Agency
