The Russian Defense Ministry announced Wednesday that its air systems shot down 12 Ukrainian drones over the territory of two Russian regions. On Tuesday night, eight drones were shot down in Voronezh and four in Rostov by air defense systems on duty, the ministry said in a statement. Voronezh Governor Aleksandr Gusev said on Telegram that there were no casualties or damage on the ground as a result of the drone attack, adding that falling fragments of one of the drones caused a fire "near explosive objects," but there was no detonation, and the fire was extinguished. Earlier today, the authorities of Kursk Oblast announced the downing of a Ukrainian Tochka-U tactical ballistic missile over the territory of the Oblast. Ukrainian forces are target Russian border areas in the regions of Belgorod, Bryansk, Kursk, Voronezh, Rostov, and Crimea almost daily with drones, missiles, and artillery shells.
