Russian air defenses shot down seven Ukrainian drones on Sunday, in the cities of Rylsky and Kurchatovsky, in the Russian regions of Kursk, the acting governor of the Kursk district, Alexei Smirnov, said via Telegram. Ukrainian forces target Russian border areas almost daily with drones and missiles. For his part, Commander of the Ukrainian Air Force, Mykola Oleshchuk, announced that Ukraine has shot down 14 Russian missiles and 31 drones Saturday night. Since the outbreak of the military operation in Ukraine in 2022, conflicting reports have emerged regarding the extent of losses suffered by both sides of the conflict. Each side claims to have inflicted severe losses on the other, but it has been difficult to independently verify the accuracy of this information due to the ongoing fighting for about three years.
