Russian Ministry of Defense announced that it thwarted an attack carried out by 25 Ukrainian drones on targets in the territory of the Crimean peninsula.
"Tonight, the Kiev regime attempted to carry out an attack with 25 drones of airplane type on facilities on the territory of the Crimean peninsula," the Russian Defense Ministry said.
"Sixteen Ukrainian drones were destroyed by air defense systems. Another nine Ukrainian drones were suppressed by electronic warfare and, having failed to reach the target, crashed into the waters of the Black Sea and Cape Tarkhankut," the ministry said. According to it, there were no casualties or damage.
Earlier on Sunday, the Russian Ministry of Defense also announced that it had thwarted an attack by three Ukrainian drones on targets in Moscow, without causing casualties or injuries.
On July 24, Kiev also attacked Crimea with drones. The Russian Defense Ministry said that all 17 vehicles were either shot down or suppressed by electronic warfare.
