Russian President Meets Chinese FM to Boost Bilateral Ties

Moscow: Russian President Vladimir Putin met Tuesday with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, currently visiting Russia. The discussions focused on strengthening bilateral relations across various fields and addressing regional and international issues of mutual interest.

According to Qatar News Agency, during the meeting, President Putin expressed satisfaction with the development of Moscow-Beijing ties, stating that Russia and China are successfully cooperating on various international platforms, including the United Nations, the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, and BRICS.

For his part, Wang Yi emphasized the long-standing nature of relations between the two countries, affirming that their cooperation does not target other nations. Earlier in the day, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov held talks with his Chinese counterpart Wang Yi, where they discussed several international matters.
