Russian, Turkish Foreign Ministers Discuss Preparations for Second Round of Negotiations with Ukraine

Doha: Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov discussed in a phone call on Friday with his Turkish counterpart, Hakan Fidan, the ongoing preparations for the second round of negotiations between Russia and Ukraine, scheduled for next week in Istanbul. During the call, the two ministers discussed the organizational aspects of the round and the topics included in it.

According to Qatar News Agency, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov confirmed that his country's delegation will travel to Istanbul to participate in this round, noting that Moscow expects the two countries' delegations to discuss the draft memoranda on resolving the crisis between Russia and Ukraine.

Ukraine had previously demanded that Russia reveal its draft resolution to the crisis with Kyiv before the start of the second round of talks next week in Turkiye.
