S. Korea and US Initiate Joint Cybersecurity Drills

Doha: South Korea and the United States commenced a joint cybersecurity exercise to enhance their readiness against potential cybersecurity threats from adversaries. The Cyber Alliance drills, scheduled to continue through Friday, are taking place at a training facility in Maryland, focusing on preparing for future cyberwarfare.

According to Qatar News Agency, the exercise involves rapidly sharing intelligence on potential cybersecurity threats under a simulated cyberattack scenario. This marks the second occurrence of such drills, following the initial session conducted at South Korea's Cyber Operation Command last year.

Seoul and Washington plan to further expand their cooperation in cyber alliance training, intelligence sharing on cyberthreats, and joint participation in multinational cybersecurity drills, as stated by South Korea's defense ministry.
