South Korea's Minister of Foreign Affairs Cho Tae-yul held bilateral talks with each of his counterparts in the US Antony Blinken and Japan Yoko Kamikawa to discuss ways to respond to the agreement signed between Russia and North Korea to expand military and economic cooperation between them. In a statement, the South Korea's Ministry of Foreign Affairs stressed that such a deal poses serious threat to the allies' security, as well as peace and stability on the Korean Peninsula and beyond, adding that the two ministers utterly condemned this agreement. Tae-yul called on Seoul and Washington to actively work and initiate a tough international response. He outlined to the US Secretary of State the countermeasures that Seoul would take, such as imposing additional sanctions on North Korea, along with export measures against Russia. Blinken expressed support for Seoul's justified measures against the security threats, committing to sternly respond to any threat based on their firm alliance. Source: Qatar Ne ws Agency
