Samsung Announces New Processor for Upcoming Galaxy S26 Phones

Samsung: Samsung has officially announced its new Exynos 2600 processor, which is expected to power its upcoming Galaxy S26 series of phones, months before their official unveiling.

According to Qatar News Agency, the company explained that the new processor represents a shift to 2nm manufacturing technology, directly resulting in significant improvements in performance, energy efficiency, and thermal management.

This translates to a 39 percent performance increase compared to the Exynos 2500 processor used in the Galaxy S25 series.

Samsung noted that the new technology improves heat dissipation within the processor, allowing for faster heat distribution and reduced thermal resistance. This helps the processor maintain high and stable performance during demanding tasks without excessive heat generation.

Thanks to the updated CPU, Samsung expects a significant improvement in AI performance on devices, including faster object detection in images, improved image processing via the camera, higher video recording quality, and double the graphics performance.
