Paris, Bahrain National Swimming team members Saud Ghali and Amani Al Obaidli expressed their pride and appreciation for carrying the flag of the Kingdom of Bahrain at the opening ceremony of the Paris Olympics 2024. Ghali thanked the Bahrain Olympic Committee for choosing him to carry the Kingdom's flag at one of the biggest sporting events in the world, saying it was a moment he will not forget. He expressed pride in the trust, which he said will motivate him me to exert more effort to develop in his sporting career reach the next level in my sporting career. I wish all teams success in the Olympics, he added. On her part, swimmer Amani Al Obaidli expressed her appreciation to the Bahrain Olympic Committee for choosing her to compete in the Paris Olympics. She said it was a great honour for the swimming team to be chosen to carry the flag at the opening ceremony, noting that it was a tribute to the entire swimming team. "For me, it is a moment I won't forget, and I hope to always live up to the trust", she added. Al Obaidli said that it was every athlete's dream to carry their country's flag.
