The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia will host on Wednesday, the 23rd session of the GCC History and Archaeology Association Forum in the capital, Riyadh. The Two-day Forum, aims to develop scientific thought in the field of history and archaeology, by providing opportunities to present specialized scientific research in the areas of interest to the association, and discussing them to contribute to the development of heritage work methods, in addition to exchanging scientific production and practical experiences between the relevant institutions within the GCC countries. The Forum will address several topics during its scientific sessions about the history of the GCC countries and their cultural heritage, most notably: prehistoric and ancient historical eras, in addition to reviewing the history of the Islamic eras. The GCC History and Archaeology Society was established in 1997, and is concerned with various scientific studies and research related to the history of the GCC countries, within the framework of develo ping thought and creativity in the heritage and historical sectors; in order to highlight the region's heritage and antiquities rooted in the roots of Arab history.
