Riyadh: The Saudi Arabia and Uzbekistan national teams have qualified for the FIFA U-17 World Cup, scheduled to be held in Qatar in November, after securing their spots in the quarterfinals of the AFC U-17 Asian Cup 2025. Both teams achieved this milestone following their victories on Sunday over Thailand and China in the second round of Group A matches, currently being held in Saudi Arabia.
According to Qatar News Agency, the top eight teams from the AFC U-17 Asian Cup will qualify for the U-17 World Cup, joining host nation Qatar in the finals, which will feature 48 teams.
The Saudi national team defeated their Thai counterparts 3-1 in today's match. In another game within the same group, the Uzbekistan national team secured a 2-1 victory over China.
