The Kingdom renews its call to the international community to recognize an independent Palestinian state, on the 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital. This will enable the brotherly Palestinian people to obtain their legitimate rights and achieve comprehensive, just, and lasting peace, he said in remarks while welcoming prominent Islamic figures who performed the Hajj this year. He called on the international community to take all measures to ensure the protection of lives in Gaza, noting the importance of implementing the recent resolutions issued by the UN Security Council regarding the proposal for an immediate ceasefire in the Gaza Strip.
