Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah met on Thursday with his Japanese counterpart Yoshimasa Hayashi during the latter's visit to Saudi Arabia.
The two sides discussed ways to enhance joint political coordination and increase bilateral and multilateral coordination to serve the interests of the two countries.
A memorandum of understanding (MoU) was also signed during the meeting on strategic dialogue aimed at strengthening and developing cooperation in a wide range of fields.
Following the meeting, the Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs chaired the first Japan-Saudi Arabia foreign ministerial level strategic dialogue, in which the two sides affirmed the deep status of their relations and the importance of continuing coordination and cooperation.
