Baghdad: Al-Hilal claimed a 3-1 victory over Al-Nassr in a match on Monday, during the 15th round of the Saudi Pro League.
According to Qatar News Agency, Al-Nassr opened the scoring in the 42nd minute through Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo, but Al-Hilal responded after the break when Salem Al Dawsari converted a penalty in the 57th minute. The momentum shifted decisively just three minutes later as Al-Nassr goalkeeper Nawaf Al Aqidi was shown a red card.
Making full use of their numerical advantage, Al-Hilal sealed the win with late goals from Mohamed Kanno in the 81st minute and Ruben Neves, who calmly dispatched a penalty in stoppage time (90+2).
The victory strengthens Al-Hilal's grip on the top spot with 38 points, extending their lead to seven points over second-placed Al-Nassr, who remain on 31 points.
