Saudi Stock Exchange Index Closes Lower After a Day of Intense Trading

Riyadh: The Saudi Stock Exchange's main index experienced a downturn on Monday, closing with a decrease of 90.89 points to settle at 11,745.63 points. The day's trading activities amassed a financial turnover of SR 5.3 billion.

According to Qatar News Agency, the trading session saw the exchange of 259 million shares. Among the companies listed, 52 witnessed an increase in their share values, while 192 companies saw their shares decline by the end of the trading day.

The Saudi Parallel Stock Exchange Index, known as Nomu, also faced a decline, shedding 300.45 points to close at 31,031.37 points. Trading on Nomu amounted to SR 40 million, with a total of 3 million shares changing hands during the session.
