Doha: Qatar Scouts and Guides Association organized the second scouting camp over two days, themed "A Person Is Measured by Their Impact," involving 120 scouts from government schools. The initiative is part of a broader training and educational program aimed at instilling values of giving, responsibility, and belonging among participants.
According to Qatar News Agency, the camp's theme was selected to highlight the importance of leaving a positive impact on the community. It focused on imparting scouting and humanitarian values through practical and educational activities, building individuals who are prepared to serve their nation and society.
The educational objectives of the camp were to cultivate a sense of responsibility, encourage volunteerism and service, and guide youth towards positive behavior and meaningful contributions. The program also aimed to connect scouting activities with a broader humanitarian mission.
The camp sought to enhance national and community belonging through its core values: giving, sincerity, positive impact, leading by example, sustainability, and positivity. These principles were emphasized through a hands-on approach that integrated scouting training with social awareness and life-skills development, fostering a community-oriented generation of scouts ready to serve their country, environment, and society.
