Second Person Killed in Israeli Airstrike on Southern Lebanon

Doha: A person was killed on Tuesday in a new Israeli airstrike targeting southern Lebanon.

According to Qatar News Agency, the Lebanese Ministry of Public Health's Emergency Operations Center reported in a statement that Israel carried out an airstrike on a vehicle in the "Wadi Farun" area in the south of the country, resulting in the death of one citizen. This followed an earlier drone strike on the "Deir Al Zahrani" road, which killed another person.

A ceasefire agreement between Lebanon and Israel went into effect on November 27, which called for the withdrawal of Israeli forces from border villages and towns in the south within 60 days. However, the terms of the agreement have not been fully respected, with Israeli forces remaining in five locations.
