Secretary-General, Omani Counterpart Discuss Bilateral Relations

Doha: HE Secretary-General of the Qatar Olympic Committee Jassim bin Rashid Al Buenain met with Secretary General of the Oman Olympic Committee and President of the Oman Table Tennis Association Mohammed Bamkhallaf, who is currently visiting Doha. During the meeting, the two sides discussed bilateral cooperation between the Qatari and Omani Olympic Committees and explored ways to enhance it in the coming period. The aim is to advance joint Gulf sports efforts and exchange expertise in sports management and technical programs.

According to Qatar News Agency, both sides emphasized the importance of continued cooperation between the Gulf Olympic Committees to strengthen their role in supporting athletes and developing the institutional infrastructure of sports in the region, in alignment with the aspirations of the Olympic Movement.

The Secretary-General of the Oman Olympic Committee praised Qatar's success in hosting the World Table Tennis Championships Doha 2025, stating that this achievement reflects Doha's position on the global sports map and its ability to provide a model for hosting major international events.
