Jerusalem: Dozens of settlers entered the courtyards of the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound on the first day of the holy month of Ramadan, under the protection of Israeli forces.
According to Qatar News Agency, the settlers engaged in Talmudic rituals within the compound's courtyards, actions described as provocative by local observers.
This incursion is part of a series of similar events where settlers, accompanied by security forces, aim to perform religious rituals in the mosque's courtyards. These activities are viewed as efforts by the Israeli authorities to establish a new status quo in the area, affecting the Old City and the surrounding regions of Al-Aqsa.
Palestinians in occupied Jerusalem often face harassment during these incidents, which include physical confrontations and restrictions on accessing the mosque.
