Doha: The 9th Katara International Hunting and Falcons Exhibition - S'hail 2025 is set to kick off Wednesday at the Cultural Village Foundation - Katara. Speaking to Qatar News Agency (QNA), Vice Chairman of the Organizing Committee Mohammed bin Abdullatif Al Misnad confirmed that the event, which runs through September 14, will welcome participation from over 200 companies and specialized entities representing 17 countries.
According to Qatar News Agency, the growing international interest underscores the event's stature as one of the world's leading showcases in the fields of hunting, falconry, camping, and outdoor adventures. Al Misnad noted that this year's edition marks a significant expansion, with exhibition space increasing by 2,000 square meters compared to the previous year. The growth comes in response to heightened demand from local, regional, and international exhibitors - reflecting the diversity and scale of the products and services being presented.
Visitors can expect a wide range of offerings, from the latest in hunting weapons and rifles to falconry gear, camping equipment, and innovations tailored to desert expeditions. In addition to the exhibition, S'hail 2025 will feature a rich program of competitions, cultural events, and artistic activities celebrating the heritage and traditions of hunting and falconry.
Al Misnad also highlighted that the e-falcon auction will once again be a centerpiece of the exhibition, renowned for showcasing some of the world's finest and rarest falcons. Participation will be facilitated through the dedicated S'hail mobile application. This year, the auction introduces a new bidding system aimed at ensuring greater fairness and transparency. In the final 30 minutes of the auction, participants will be required to write down their final bid on paper and submit it into a sealed box, encouraging a more competitive environment.
