Doha: The General Assembly of the Qatar Cricket Association (QCA) has re-elected HE Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Saud Al-Thani as President of the QCA for a new term from 2024 to 2028. The decision was made during the regular general assembly meeting held at the headquarters of the Qatar Olympic Committee. According to Qatar News Agency, Khalid Saleh Al Rumaihi was chosen as the General Secretary, while Mohammed Abdullah Al Meer, Abdullah Hussein Al Marri, and Sarah Abdulaziz Al Sheeb secured membership in the QCA's Board of Directors. The meeting's agenda included approving the minutes of the previous meeting, reviewing the financial statements for 2023, and discussing the achievements and events organized by the QCA in 2023, along with setting goals for the upcoming phase. Following his re-election, HE Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Saud Al-Thani emphasized the association's commitment to enhancing the level of cricket in Qatar. He aims to increase the number of participants and ensure a respectable presence in forthcoming local and international competitions.
