Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh, Shura Council Chairman, affirmed that Bahrain adopted the foundations and principles of peace, coexistence and harmony among all, as a consistent approach and a solid foundation in implementing national strategies and plans.
Al Saleh expressed his pride in the visions of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, which made Bahrain a regional and global model for peaceful coexistence among different peoples and religions in the world.
This came on the occasion of the International Day of Peace, celebrated on September 21. This year's slogan carried a significant theme which is " Actions For Peace: Our Ambition For The #GlobalGoals".
The chairman noted that the bright images of peace and the humanitarian contributions provided by Bahrain reflect its status as a land of peace, that carries the values of respect, love and tolerance.
He said that the initiative of HM the King, to establish the King Hamad Global Center for Peaceful Coexistence is considered a great step in the process of global peace, and has opened horizons to highlight Bahrain’s positive role in promoting peace at the regional and international levels
