Shura Chairman: Olympic Gold in Paris reflects royal support for sustaining Bahrain’s sporting achievements

Manama, Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh, Chairman of the Shura Council, congratulated His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, on the occasion of Bahrain winning the gold medal in the women's 3000m steeplechase race at the Paris 2024 Olympics, achieved by Bahraini athlete Winfred Yavi. The Chairman also extended his congratulations to HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, His Majesty the King's Representative for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, and HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, Chairman of the General Sports Authority, and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee. Al Saleh affirmed that this victory is a significant achievement for the Kingdom, reflecting His Majesty the King's unwavering support for the sports sector, which drives success in sports at various levels. He also highlighted H RH the Crown Prince's commitment to motivating athletes, contributing to Bahrain's prominence in regional and international sporting events.
