Manama: Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh, Shura Council Chairman, received Andrea Catalano, the newly appointed Italian Ambassador to Bahrain. Al Saleh lauded the Bahraini-Italian relations, affirming both countries commitment to develop partnerships in various sectors and vial fields. Al Saleh emphasised Bahrain's interest to build close relations with all world countries, and its keenness to consolidate humanitarian values and principles, particularly coexistence, tolerance and peace among all. He praised Italy's adoption of the King Hamad Chair for Inter-faith Dialogue and Peaceful Co-existence at the University of Sapienza to enhance joint efforts between the two countries to spread the culture of peace, tolerance and coexistence, and to promote theseconcepts and values among young people. Al Saleh affirmed his keenness to enhance Bahrain-Italy parliamentary relations and exchange legislative expertise and experiences. He congratulated the ambassador and wished him success in his diplomatic duties. The ambass ador commended Bahrain's development in various fields, affirming its role in supporting world peace and promoting dialogue and coexistence to contribute to sustainability and development in the world.
