Doha: HE Speaker of the Shura Council Hassan bin Abdullah Al Ghanim met with HE Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Korea Woo Won-shik, who is currently visiting the country. The meeting focused on strengthening bilateral parliamentary relations and exploring avenues for further cooperation.

According to Qatar News Agency, the discussions emphasized the significance of exchanging visits to align positions during international parliamentary events and to support issues of mutual interest. Both parties acknowledged the crucial role legislative councils play in enhancing international cooperation, maintaining global stability, and tackling shared challenges.

The speakers commended the ongoing strategic partnership between Qatar and South Korea, particularly highlighting collaboration in energy, industry, infrastructure, education, and health sectors, along with cooperation in international institutions. Looking ahead, both sides expressed their commitment to further enhancing parliamentary cooperation to advance the interests of the two nations and their peoples.
