Manama, Dr. Ali bin Mohammed Al Rumaihi, Chairman of the Foreign Affairs and Defence and National Security Committee at the Shura Council, emphasised the significance of the Arab Summit in Bahrain, highlighting its critical agenda items amidst challenging circumstances, particularly the war in Gaza. Dr. Al Rumaihi lauded the keenness and approach of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to achieving Arab solidarity and strengthening Arab capabilities to face current challenges at various levels. He also noted the support and the follow-up of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, and Prime Minister. He said His Majesty the King's presidency of the Bahrain summit, will have a positive impact on reaching a consensus, results, and resolutions that will contribute to advancing joint action and addressing the various challenges in the region. He added that the decisions that will be made at the Bahrain Summit are expected to meet the aspirations of the Arab peoples who year n for peace and stability in the region and the world. The chairman highlighted the legislative authority's support for the kingdom's summit success efforts and the significance of parliamentary diplomacy in defending Arab causes. He underscored the importance of cooperation between the legislative authority and the government in supporting policies and initiatives and fostering constructive relations with Arab countries.
