Doha: HE Speaker of the Shura Council Hassan bin Abdullah Al Ghanim met on Tuesday with several heads of parliamentary delegations participating in the meetings of the Standing Committee on Budget and Planning of the Asian Parliamentary Assembly (APA), which began in Doha and are scheduled to run for two days. At the beginning of the meeting, the Speaker of the Shura Council expressed his welcome to the heads of parliamentary delegations, expressing hope that their discussions would contribute to supporting joint parliamentary work and enhancing the APA's role in promoting sustainable development efforts in member states. According to Qatar News Agency, the meeting addressed several topics related to parliamentary cooperation and explored ways to unify positions and visions on various regional and international issues. The discussions aimed to strengthen parliamentary ties and foster collaborative efforts among member states to address pressing global challenges. Several members of the Shura Council were pr esent at the meeting, highlighting the importance of collective dialogue in advancing the objectives of the Asian Parliamentary Assembly.
