The Shura Council has participated in the Arab Parliamentary Conference on Technology and Economy hosted by the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan under the theme: "The Impact of Technology and Innovation in Promoting the Growth of the Arab Economy." The Shura Council was represented at the conference by HE Member of the Council and Member of the Permanent Bureau of the high-level parliamentary working group on technology, innovation, and digital transformation of the Arab Parliament, Dr. Ahmed bin Hamad Al Mohanadi. The conference discussed ways to reinforce cooperation among Arab parliamentarians and Arab institutions and associations in technology and innovation fields. The event sought to encourage the engagement of Arab and international technological firms in sharing expertise and best practices by focusing on the role of technology and innovation in supporting the Arab economic growth through discussing the supportive policies and legislations, as well as enhancing research and development in collaboration with universities and academic institutions to achieve a sustainable progress in those fields.
