Doha: Sidra Medicine and QatarEnergy signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Tuesday to establish a framework for collaboration across healthcare services, professional development opportunities, and the exchange of expertise.
According to Qatar News Agency, the MoU underscores the commitment of both organizations to contribute to the development of Qatar's healthcare ecosystem and to support the needs of patients, healthcare professionals, and the wider community. Acting CEO and Member of the Board of Governors at Sidra Medicine, Mohammed Khalid Al Mana, stated that the MoU reflects their commitment to working with national partners to enhance access to high-quality healthcare services and invest in professional development. He emphasized that this collaboration and shared expertise aim to strengthen Qatar's healthcare systems over the long term.
Executive Vice President for HSE and Business Services at QatarEnergy, Nabeel Mohammed Al Buenain, remarked that the MoU demonstrates QatarEnergy's dedication to the health and well-being of its workforce. By partnering with Sidra Medicine, a leading healthcare institution, they seek to enhance healthcare pathways and invest in professional development to advance Qatar's healthcare ecosystem further.
The MoU includes commercial healthcare solutions such as insurance pathways and tailored maternity and corporate healthcare packages. Additionally, it encompasses education and training initiatives, including continuing medical education, professional development, and health education programs. The agreement also provides for the coordination of clinical services, such as outpatient support, referral pathways, and access to specialized care for QatarEnergy employees.
