Ramallah - Ma'an - The Ministry of Education and Higher Education said that 11,406 students were martyred and 18,556 were injured since the start of the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip and the West Bank on October 7. The Ministry of Education stated in a statement on Tuesday that the number of students who were martyred in the Gaza Strip since the beginning of the aggression has reached more than 11,292, and those who were injured have reached 17,965, while 114 students were martyred in the West Bank and 591 others were injured, in addition to 439 being arrested. She pointed out that 550 teachers and administrators were martyred and 3,717 were injured in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, and more than 145 were arrested in the West Bank. She pointed out that 362 government schools, universities, university buildings, and 65 UNRWA schools were bombed and vandalized in the Gaza Strip, resulting in 124 of them being severely damaged and 62 being completely destroyed. 84 schools and 7 universities in the W est Bank were also stormed and vandalized, and 133 government schools were used as shelters in the Gaza Strip. The Ministry of Education confirmed that 718,000 students in the Gaza Strip are still deprived of attending their schools and universities since the beginning of the aggression, while most students suffer from psychological trauma and face difficult health conditions.
