Portugal: Portugal's National Statistics Institute announced Wednesday that the country's consumer price inflation recorded a slight decline in October, according to preliminary estimates. The Consumer Price Index (CPI) rose by 2.3 percent year-on-year in October, down from a 2.4 percent increase in September.
According to Qatar News Agency, energy product prices fell by 1.2 percent in October, contributing significantly to the slowdown in inflation. The annual growth rate of unprocessed food prices dropped to 6.1 percent, compared to 7 percent in September, while processed food prices increased by 1.1 percent.
Excluding energy and unprocessed food items, core inflation edged up slightly to 2.1 percent in October from 2 percent in the previous month. According to estimates, consumer prices remained stable in October, following a 0.9 percent increase in the preceding month.
