Manama, Osama bin Ahmed Khalaf Al Asfoor, Minister of Social Development, received Shaikha Azza bint Rashid Al Nuaimi, the Chairwoman of the Women and Child Protection Foundation in the UAE. The meeting discussed the developmental initiatives and projects provided by the ministry in the field of women and child protection and the welfare programs through specialised social institutions and temporary and alternative shelter centers, to achieve family stability and psychological safety of the child. He said that the ministry seeks to provide many developmental services through community partnership programs with government sectors and civil and private society organisations. Shaikha Azza bint Rashid visited Dar Al-Aman house for women subjected to domestic violence, and the Child Protection Center. Shaikha Azza bint Rashid was introduced to the most important procedures, of both the center and house, related to securing temporary shelter for individuals and families exposed to domestic violence, and child p rotection services. Shaikha Azza bint Rashid commended the ministry's efforts in securing the safety of both women and children and providing quality social, psychological and legal services for them.
