The Ministry of Social Development has announced the launch of the first edition of the Creativity and Excellence Award for Persons with Disabilities, in cooperation with the Executive Office of the Council of Labour and Social Affairs Ministers of the GCC countries. The award aims to recognise outstanding achievements by persons with disabilities and encourage efforts to further empower them, while promoting societal awareness and greater inclusion. The award will be held every two years, with the winners announced during the Gulf Theatre Festival for People with Disabilities. Members of the Executive Office, representing every GCC state, will select winners based on specific criteria. Source: Bahrain News Agency
