Mogadishu, Commander of the Somali National Army Brigadier General Ibrahim Sheikh Muhyadin met with Commander of the US Special Forces Colonel David Haskell. The Somali news agency (SONNA) reported that during the meeting, ways to strengthen and support counter-terrorism efforts were discussed. The Somali army Commander requested, during the meeting, the support of the US forces in a military operation that the Somali forces will soon carry out against the Al-Shabaab movement linked to Al-Qaeda, SONNA added.
