Manama, His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, the Southern Governor, chaired the tenth meeting of the Security Committee for 2024. The meeting was attended by Brigadier Hamad Mohammed Al Khayyat, the Deputy Governor, Colonel Shaikh Salman bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Southern Police Station Chief, and Ministry of Interior officials. At the start of the meeting, the governor commended the directives of General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, the Interior Minister, on strengthening engagement with the public and highlighted the efforts of the security agencies in maintaining safety across the governorate. HH Shaikh Khalifa emphasised the committee's commitment to ensuring proper security preparations for upcoming events in the governorate through coordinated efforts among security departments. The deputy governor presented a report on cooperation with the General Directorate of Civil Defence, focusing on enhancing security and safety measures at various facilities within the governorate . The governor also reviewed a report from the General Directorate of Criminal Investigation and Forensic Science on anti-drug efforts and the ongoing evaluation of the security situation in the area. He stressed the importance of continued awareness to safeguard residents and citizens. The General Directorate of Civil Defence then presented an overview of recent security efforts.
