Manama, Ahmed bin Salman Al Musallam, Speaker of the Council of Representatives, received Ahmed Abdulla Bin Hindi, the Chairman of Bahrain Businessmen's Association (BBMA), and BBMA board members. The meeting discussed topics related to the commerce sector and parliamentary work, and reviewed upcoming BBMA's activities and programmes. The speaker highlighted the private sector's vital role in advancing Bahrain's economy, supporting developmental projects, attracting investments, increasing trade, and providing jobs for youth under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the follow-up of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister. He lauded the partnership between the Council and the private sector, highlighting the keenness to develop economic legislation and affirming the support of significant economic projects. Al Musallam expressed his appreciation for the efforts of the BBMA, commending their plans, programmes, and participation in various economic events locally and internationally.
