Damascus, Speaker of the People's Assembly, Hammouda Sabbagh, received on Monday a Libyan parliamentary delegation, headed by Chairman of the Committee on Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Libyan House of Representatives, Youssef al-Aqouri. Sabbagh stressed that Syria, despite the wars, conspiracies and blockades, it has kept its role within the joint Arab action, hoping the visit of the Libyan delegation would be a starting point for enhancing relations between the two brotherly countries and increasing mutual parliamentary visits. Al-Aqouri, in turn, stressed the importance of strong fraternal relations between the two peoples, saying that Syria will remain a beacon of freedom, patriotism and nationalism despite the conspiracies being hatched against it.
