Speaker of Libyan House of Representatives Ageela Saleh met Monday with Congolese Foreign Minister Jean-Claude Gakosso, whose country chairs the African Union's (AU) High-Level Committee on Libya. During the meeting, they discussed the AU's efforts to support achieving national reconciliation in Libya and preparing for holding a reconciliation conference that brings together all Libyans in the coming period, in addition to reviewing the latest developments in the political situation in Libya. Saleh stressed the importance of the AU's role in achieving stability and national reconciliation in Libya. Libya was scheduled to hold presidential and legislative elections in December 2021, but they were postponed indefinitely due to differences between political parties. Source: Qatar News Agency
