Doha: HE Speaker of the Shura Council Hassan bin Abdullah Al Ghanim met today with HE Secretary-General of the Arab Inter-Parliamentary Union (AIPU), Dr. Ahmed Alawi Baabood, who is visiting the country. During their meeting, discussions centered on the existing relations between the Shura Council and the AIPU, focusing on ways to further develop these ties to enhance joint parliamentarian work. The meeting also covered a range of topics related to mutual interest and Arab parliamentary issues.

According to Qatar News Agency, HE Secretary-General of AIPU attended part of the Shura Council's session held today. During his visit, he was briefed on the council's working mechanisms and the latest technologies implemented in managing its operations.
