Strong Winds, Cold Conditions Forecast Today

Doha: The Department of Meteorology has warned of strong inshore winds, strong winds and high seas offshore, as well as the possibility of thundery rain early today. According to the department's daily weather report, inshore conditions until 6:00 pm on Friday will be partly cloudy, with a chance of scattered rain in some areas at first. The weather is expected to become relatively cold during the day and cold by night.

According to Qatar News Agency, offshore, the weather will be partly cloudy to cloudy at times, with a chance of scattered rain, which may be thundery at first. Inshore winds will be northwesterly at 18 to 25 knots, gusting to 33 knots in some areas at times, before decreasing to 5 to 15 knots by night. Offshore winds will be northwesterly to westerly at 18 to 28 knots, with gusts reaching up to 38 knots.

Sea conditions inshore will range between 3 and 5 feet, while offshore seas will range from 5 to 9 feet, rising to 12 feet at times. Visibility inshore is expected to range between 4 and 9 km, while offshore visibility will range between 5 and 9 km, dropping to 3 km or less during thundery rain at first.
