Damascus, Chairman of the Federation of Chambers of Commerce, Abu Al-Huda Al-Laham, discussed on Thursday with Ambassador of the Republic of Pakistan in Damascus, Shahid Akhtar and an accompanying delegation of Pakistani businessmen and merchants, ways to increase the volume of trade exchange and investments between the two countries and enhance the prospects for economic cooperation. During the meeting, al-Laham highly valued Pakistan's support for Syria and the continuation of diplomatic cooperation, pointing out the importance of the delegation's visit to Expo 2024 Fair to inspect Syrian products and conduct direct contacts and meetings with businessmen and merchants, which will reflect positively on the volume of trade exchange between the two countries in the interests of both peoples. For his part, Ambassador Akhtar said that over the past two years, the Embassy, ??in cooperation with the Federation of Chambers of Commerce, has succeeded in developing trade relations between the two countries, partic ularly with regard to import and export, stressing that the presence of the delegation will enable it to see the true image of Syria, contrary to what is circulated by the Western media. During the visit which will last from the 5th to the 11th of this month, the delegation will hold several meetings with the business sector and public and private entities.
