Health Minister Hassan al-Ghabbash participated in the meeting of the 59th session of the Council of Arab Ministers of Health in Geneva, on the sidelines of the work of the 76th session of the World Health Assembly which is being held in Geneva, Switzerland, from May 21-30.
During the meeting, the participants adopted a draft resolution on health conditions in the occupied Palestinian territories and the occupied Syrian Golan.
Al-Ghabbash highlighted the importance of the meeting as a step to enhance cooperation aimed at promoting and developing joint Arab cooperation in the field of health and preserving Arab health security.
He underlined the need to continue promoting joint Arab action to deal with the health burdens caused to the health systems and various vital sectors due to repercussions of Corona pandemic.
The minister called for deepening the standards of cooperation to serve the Arab nation, and achieve the goals of comprehensive and desired health security.
He thanked the medical and relief aid provided to support the efforts of Syria’s government in responding to the repercussions of the devastating earthquake that claimed the lives of thousands of Syrians.
