Doha: The Syrian military has embarked on deployment to areas in the north and east of the country, including the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor Governorate, the Al-Jazira region, Tishreen Dam, the northern countryside of Raqqa, as well as the western countryside of Hasakah, the Syrian authorities announced on Monday.
According to Qatar News Agency, the Syrian Interior Ministry reported in a statement that its military units have started to deploy to these regions as part of a plan to regularly retain military posture in all towns and villages, in alignment with the overall security plan intended to protect civilians, private and public property, as well as reinforce security and stability in the region.
At the current time, focus will be on strengthening security deployment through operating patrols and establishing surveillance points, in pursuit of deepening security and protecting civilians and their property, the statement continued.
Meanwhile, the Syrian Military Operations Directorate highlighted that a bunch of military troops have embarked on deployment to the Syrian Island to secure the area under the agreement forged between the Syrian state and the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF).
On Sunday, the Syrian Ministry of Defense declared a ceasefire on all fronts, thereby ceasing combat operations in various engagement parts, based on the ceasefire deal and full integration of SDF within the Syrian state institutions signed by President Ahmed Al Sharaa on Sunday.
