Muscat, Omani Cinema Society, in cooperation with the Embassy of the Syrian Arab Republic in Oman and the Social Club of the Syrian Community, has organized a cinematic event entitled 'Syrian Nights Films' at the headquarters of the Omani Cinema Society. Six short films were screened on this event that won international awards, the famous docudrama 'Jasmine' was screened that narrated the situation of children who had affected by the war imposed on Syria and the its negative effects on their dreams and thoughts . The short film ' On the Roof of Damascus ' narrates a story of a generation live his life virtually and face challenges that affected by the war. Additionally, the short documentary docudrama 'The Journey of Syrian Silk' was screened, that tells the story of the stages of the Syrian silk industry in the traditional fashion, and is considered an attempt to convey the Syrian heritage and cultural legacy to the world, in addition to three others short films This event attended by Syria's Ambassador to the Sultanate of Oman, Dr. Idris Mayya.
