Paris: Novak Djokovic, currently ranked 6th in the world, continued his performance at the French Open, the second Grand Slam of the season held at Roland Garros, by advancing to the third round with a straight-sets victory over Frenchman Corentin Moutet on Thursday. The 38-year-old Serbian legend, former world number one, and record-holder for the most Grand Slam titles with 24, defeated the 26-year-old French player 6-3, 6-2, and 7-6 in the second round. According to Qatar News Agency, Novak Djokovic claimed recently his 100th career title by winning the Geneva Open in Switzerland, an ATP 250 tournament, marking his first title of the year. This came after his gold medal win in men's singles tennis at the most recent Olympic Games in Paris 2024. Djokovic is the third player in tennis history to win 100 titles, joining American Jimmy Connors and Swiss legend Roger Federer.
